What has happened to service around here?

Perhaps I am old fashioned,  but I expect service providers to show up when they are supposed to and do the work in a timely fashion.  There is more to running a business than holding your hand out for payment.  Has the quality of service you receive gone down?

What would the elimination of the home mortgage deduction do for rental property investments?

Occasionally, we hear rumblings about changing the tax code to disallow interest and property tax deductions for primary residences. I often wonder what that would do to the rental side of things. If there are no tax benefits for home ownership, will more people rent? What do you think?
